Suicide or Be Killed! drives forward with pressure, abrasion and command. The riffs do not wander. They cut, return and keep forcing the record ahead. Instead of dressing the sound in smoke or mystique, Vermeth keeps everything direct, militant and cold.
A lot of raw records lean on disorder to create force. This one chooses control. The pacing stays relentless, the structures stay hard, and the production keeps the blow sharp. Because of that, the album sounds primitive without turning shapeless, and hostile without losing direction.
The connection to the extended Les Légions Noires sphere matters, yet the record does not survive on lineage alone. It carries its own stance. Rather than hiding behind obscurity, it pushes with clear intent. That gives the release a different weight. It does not simply sound raw. It sounds armed.
The atmosphere stays stripped and severe. No ornament softens the edges. No excess slows the attack. At the same time, the record avoids collapse because every part serves the same aim. Riffs press forward, drums keep the pressure high, and the whole album refuses compromise from beginning to end.
This official Drakkar Productions release comes on vinyl and includes an A3 poster. The format suits the material well because it gives the record the right physical scale without making it decorative. It remains harsh, immediate and confrontational.
